Colorchallenge - Friday blue
Todays color challenge addition is from the port of La Coruna. Known to locals as A Coruna, this is the gateway to Galicia on the northwestern corner of the Iberian penninsula. The city is built on an old celtic fort, the locals take pride in that Celtic heritage and the survival of Galego their language.
The San Carlos garden is on top of the old fort where Sir John Moore is buried, an english general who led British and Spanish troops against the forces of Napoleon in the 1809 battle for La Coruna and died during the battle.
La Coruna is a beautiful city full of culture and amazing architecture and because it's not a huge city it's all accessible by foot.
