Color Challenge - Sunday - Purple

This is a wild bindleweed, relative to the morning glory vine but much smaller and tougher. It is very beautiful, but very invasive as it spreads through roots and seeds as chokes anything in it's path to take over an area. It only flowers in the morning and by mid after noon's heat the flowers have closed to begin their seed production life cycle. I love this flower, despite it's many faults in the garden, when given it's space and properly planned for it is a great addition to the landscape.
