Colour Challenge: Butterfly

in #colorchallenge7 years ago

For today's Colour Challenge: three photos of the (male) orange tip (Anthocharis cardamines), oranjetipje in Dutch:

Olympus XZ-1, 112mm, ISO100, f8, 1/125s

Olympus Stylus 1s, 55mm, ISO100, f5.6, 1/1000s

Olympus Stylus 1s, 55mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/400s

It is, of course, totally gender-biased, politically-incorrect, and all that, to post photos of the male of the species only, but the female has no orange at all, you see.

Amazingly beautiful photo))

Thank you!

I like your photos very much! These are wonderful as usual:)

Thank you!

Good shooting, but the most interesting is the butterflies. Species that are difficult to find in garden or garden

In The Netherlands, they usually feed on cuckooflowers (Cardamine pratensis), making them easier to find.

All three photographs are stunning. Love the detail of the markings in the last image especially: Like lots of butterfly images within the wings. 🙏🙏🙏
