Colour Challenge: Butterflies
When you find a bunch of flowers in the forest, with no other flowers around, and it is a sunny day, you can just sit and wait. I did, and these two showed up, both conveniently orange.
A small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae), kleine vos in Dutch:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/320s
A peacock (Aglais io), dagpauwoog in Dutch.
Olympus Stylus 1s, 200mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/400s
Again, high shutter speeds because of the wind.

Beautuful shots. These two buterflies I am familiar with from Scotland. The flowers look like Senecio jacobaea.
