Saffron or Crocus sativus is a bulbous plant that is planted in autumn and blooms in spring. The flowers are quite large compared to the rest of the plant, as they can measure 5-7cm in diameter. The leaves are very thin, green, and have a length of 10-15cm. It can be placed in places where it gives the direct sun as in semisombra.
