📷 #ColorChallenge SundayPurple Wildflowers at Saint Mary's Glacier (Original Content)

I took this photo of these purple wildflowers on my hike up to Saint Mary's Glacier yesterday.

Start-End Elevation: 10,428' - 10,848' (at base of glacier)

St Mary's Glacier is 9.2 miles north of Idaho Springs in the Clear Creek Ranger District of the Arapaho National Forest. The glacier is technically a large perennial snowfield open to hiking, skiing, snowboarding, climbing and sledding.

This was my favorite spot to sit and enjoy the view of the glacier and the lake in which it melts into.

From this spot you can also see St Mary's Lake, located just below the glacier, ringed by bristle-cone pine, thick willow and an abundance of wildflowers.
