ColorChallenge Seeds of Insects
According to the challenge of Tuesday (orange), I put a collection of seeds of insects. basically, these insect seeds are so small that they are barely visible to the eye, but I am taking this picture with a 14.5 mega pixel canon camera and a macro tool.
Really great pictures! Thanks for sharing!
Actually, what you have here are aphids, which suck the juices out of tender plant parts. You also have, in the first picture, what looks to be a ladybird beetle ("ladybug") larva coming around the flower bud to feast on them. Ladybugs are beautiful as adults and are also beneficial in gardens because they are significant predators of aphids and other insects that are harmful to garden plants.
