Yes, I was harsh at first. You know how many times I see this shit, and it wasn't in #general at the spam plagued steemit.chat, it was in the slavic discord #russia chatroom, I would have thought better of people in there than this.
I am going to pull the flag now, because I think you get the message. Self promotion is not acceptable where it is not specifically stated it is permitted. I am sorry if you felt bad over this but I don't want you to think that it was just me who feels this way. Promoting yourself is spam, because obviously, you will earn something if people vote on it. Spamming should get the opposite, which is what I did.

If you have ever seen #general in steemit.chat, or for that matter, looked around at slavchat, you'd see that too many people, even in such a small group, think it's ok.
Yes, it makes me sick how distorted Steemit is. It's not so much that its ruleset does not limit bad behaviour, it is also thte premined accounts, and these preminer guys, seriously, they are like, 23 year old jerks who live in their basement trolling all day long, and these guys influence rewards incredibly, as well as altering user behaviour with their bogus reward and punishment bullying behaviour.
