TuesdayOrange: Speckled Wood

The Pararge aegeria aegeria is a subspecies of the butterfly commonly known as speckled wood, which occurs in SW Europe, in countries such Portugal and Spain.

This subspecies has a pale but beautiful orange color, as you can see in the photo below, taken in the Alentejo region (southern Portugal).
