Colour challenge | MondayRed: Scarlet dragonfly

The Crocothemis erythraea, commonly known as scarlet darter, is a dragonfly species very common in the southern Europe.

Unlike the female, which is yellow, the male scarlet darter has a bright red color!

This beautiful male was photographed near the city of Borba, in the Alentejo region (southern Portugal).
