Color Challenge: Friday Blue - "Kastrup Søbad - a sculpture to walk on"
Nikon D700, Nikkor 24-85mm 3.5-4.5G ED, f/5.6, 1/3 sec, 30mm, ISO 2200.
This shot is possibly the "bluest" I managed to get recently. Took this not so long ago at Kastrup Søbad which is a saltwater lido where people can swim and jump off platforms in Copenhagen.
Oh my God....!!! Is that from the day we went together or...?? Always amazing, this place...these colors!!! True Blue :D
Yes, it is...I didn't even do anything to it. Just cropped a tiny bit.
Yeah I know, I was there! It looks so amazing -no retouching needed!!! :D
The Aller Media building shot I took might be bluer but I posted that one already...
I think it is bluer yes, but the time was different - that one was around 3am so dawn, this one was around 11pm so after sunset. I think color has something to do with this fact ;)
Very interesting, nice photo.
Thanks a lot! Glad you like it!
Beautiful blue hour photo! Love that time of the day to make photos. May I ask why you chose iso 2200? :-)
Thank you! Good question...I think I went with that as I was taking some hand-held shots before and didn't switch. Or it might be because I wanted a faster shutter speed as the walkway that I was using as a base for the camera was moving ever so slightly. I know smaller ISO is better but I find that my camera behaves quite well until 4500. This wasn't possible on my old crop sensor D40... you would get tons of noise and not the nice kind.
Thanks for your answer. That makes sense why you choose this settings. :-)
