ASCONA ON THE MAGGIORE LAKE
Today I was in Ascona on the lake.
Ascona is the next little village to Locarno.
In the summertime there are many events and music festivals.
It was sunny again with bright sky, and I took some photo also of the colorful architecture.
In the first photo you can see the lake with one of the plane trees, which was a gift from the city of Paris to Ascona. In the lake are two islands : the "isole di Brissago", where you can go by boat.
In the second photo are houses and a restaurant called Elvezia, what means Switzerland in latin.

Oggi ero ad Ascona al lago.
Ascona è il prossimo piccolo paese da Locarno.
In estate ci sono tanti eventi e festival di musica.
Era soleggiato con un cielo bello chiaro, e ho scattato qualche foto anche alla colorata architettura.
Nella prima foto si può vedere il lago con uno dei tanti platani, che erano un regalo della città Parigi ad Ascona. Nel lago ci sono due isole : le isole di Brissago, che si possono raggiungere con il battello.
Nella seconda foto ci sono delle case e un ristorante di nome Elvezia, che significa Svizzera in latino.
The third photo shows the Hotel Castello, a storical building on the piazza. You can see the palm trees because in the south of Switzerland we have a subtropical clima.
Nella terza foto vediamo l'Hotel Castello, un edificio storico in piazza. Si possono vedere delle palme perchè in Svizzera italiana abbiamo un clima subtropicale.
I took the last photo from my home this evening in Locarno Monti, it's like a happy end:-) Hope you like it:-)

Quando andiamo ad Ascona ci sentiamo già un po' in vacanza. Non sapevo del platano!
Davvero, è un ambiente rilassante....si i platani erano un regalo da Parigi, e se ne muore uno viene sostituito:-)
