Colorchallenge Wednesday Yellow
I captured this today while visiting la Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain! This architectural wonder was designed by Antoni Gaudí and is scheduled to be completed in 2026, one hundred years after his death.
Interesting fact: The cathedral has warm-colored windows on one side and cooler-colored windows on the other.
The unpictured windows behind me are warm, casting a yellow-orange glow on the columns in the foreground. Rays from the setting sun would appear even warmer when piercing through this west, orange side.
Across the cathedral, however, the stained glass is predominantely blue and green. As the sun rises from the east, light filters in and appears more cool in color.
