In August 2011 I attended the second Beer Bloggers Conference in Portland, OR. As part of the conference we took a bus trip South from Portland to visit the Goschie Hop Farm. Part of the process of harvesting hops is drying them. In this photo, we see a worker loading hops into the drying area.

It looks beautiful and probably smelled even better. I love hops to the point that I often add them to water, it tastes really good!

Do you add whole leaf or pellets to your water?

Pellets. I put them on a strainer and pour water through it. Results are really awesome., you should definitely try it if you like hops as well.

@photocontests I wanted to tag this photo with one of you hashtags but there is literally nothing that fits. Same thing goes for photos of the inside of a brewery. Can you add an #indoorphotography tag or something like that?
