Color Challenge - Friday Sky Blue - Why is Sky Blue?

Today is "Friday Sky Blue" and I couldn't think of any thing with skyblue color but the sky itself.

But why is the sky blue?

When I was a kid what comes in my mind is that it is blue because the atmosphere has a lot ozone gases which is bluish. And it was called ozone layer right?
Does it make sense? haha.

But as I get older, I realize maybe it is because the atmosphere absorbs more blue than the other color in the light spectrum. Well, whatever the reasons behind that, the sky looks really cool in blue.
