💙 #colorchallenge: Blue Sky Friday- St Paul's Cathedral
Today's entry for the color challenge features my favourite building in London- St Paul's cathedral and a rare beautiful day of warm Autumn sunshine in our rainy capital 😊
The cathedral casts an opposing figure and is designed in the English Baroque style by Sir Christopher Wren.
Its iconic dome has dominated the London skyline since 1697 when it was constructed as part of a major regeneration programme in the city following the Great Fire of London.
Hoards of tourists still flock to visit the cathedral and services still take place daily.
You feel such a sense of history when looking up at this majestic building, and it is even more spectacular and takes on an eerie appearance when it is lit up at night.
