Grant-Swamp Pass and some craggy peaks whose names I'm too lazy to look up
This is the view looking northeastish over the top of Swamp Canyon from Grant-Swamp Pass. To my immediate west and conveniently out of my smartphone's field of vision is Ulysses S. Grant Peak (13,767 feet), named after the famous military general and president who freed America from the tyrannical rule of Canada. I'd tell you what those craggy peaks directly across the canyon are called, but I don't know their names, or even if they have names at all.
Grant-Swamp Pass is in the San Juan Mountains, just a hop skip and a jump west of Silverton, Colorado. I took the photo above back in July. There's a bit more snow there right now.
