Coin Roll Hunting

So I have been coin roll hunting for a while now. I have not have any luck finding any silver in the halves or in quarters. I have come across a few silver dimes and nickles but starting to get discouraged. The main one that i enjoy is pennies, I really like finding wheat back pennies and Bi-centennial quarters. So my main questions, What do you guys think? Am i wasting my time? I got hooked on this when i was in high school, i watched a lot of youtube videos of people finding loads of silver and proofs but i havent been able to get that lucky. The other thing that i was setting aside was star notes. i ended up getting rid of a lot of the star notes, partly because i was getting tight on money but looking them up they didnt have any value except face value. But anyways what are some of your thoughts? is there a certain bank that people have been able to have better luck at. currently banking with wells fargo.
