Coins of my father's: nickels

The set of nickels I have is almost complete up to 2008 but I have family in Canada working on locating the newer ones that I don't have to at least get the set current.

Canadian nickels, 1922-2008

1922-1943

The older 2 that are missing (1925 & 1926) are fairly pricey at $100 & $200 so it may be a while before I get those. The regular 1942 nickel is also missing.

1942-1943 tombac nickels

These two were made of a copper-zinc alloy during World War 2

1944-1965

The nickels from 1951-1954 were minted with a steel plating during the Korean War.

1966-1989
