IS COINOMI SAFE FROM HACKERS?

in #coinomi7 years ago

From the sounds of this article Coinomi can be hacked and robbed. Am I missing something here? As a non-dev I feel like Coinomi has not showed concern or respect for the White Hat that pointed out these problems. Any thoughts?

Coinomi appear to be in disaster recovery mode and are deleting public comments. Don’t worry though, Luke and I expected this, so we took screenshots of everything and made snapshots of the GitHub issue on the Wayback Machine , so you can see what was deleted so far and if they delete anything in the future.

Sort:

When reading this article it seems that only your public addresses can be leaked
What this means is that people are able to tie your coinomi account to your btc/whatever coin address
This is sortof bad if you care about privacy (which, let's be honest is what crypto is all about)
But your coins themselve are safe

Thanks for clearing that up for a non-tech person.
