Propy, the global real estate store with a decentralized title registry, announced the successful execution of a historic real estate deal on the Blockchain in the State of California. With Propy’s Transaction Platform, every step of the deal was executed via Ethereum smart contracts, making this the first comprehensive blockchain-recorded property deal in the state of California and only the second in the world.
The cross-border transaction happened remotely using cryptocurrency (BTC) as the means of payment, thus eliminating the need for banks and eradicating geographical limitations usually tied to traditional deals. Kate Fomina, a California licensed realtor, represented both Luke Carriere (the buyer) and Diana Dominguez (the seller). When the transaction began, Fomina was located in Hong Kong, Carriere was in New York, Dominguez was in Northern California, and the escrow agent was in the San Francisco Bay Area.

A consortium of state-owned development banks plan to research blockchain technology for international transactions and other products, Russia-based Vnesheconombank said Thursday.
Vnesheconombank, the Brazilian Development Bank, the Export-Import Bank of India, the China Development Bank and the Development Bank of Southern Africa signed an agreement to conduct research on how they can use blockchain research to develop a digital economy, according to a press release(https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/vnesheconombank-and-brics-development-banks-will-research-the-implementation-of-blockchain-technology-811880894.html).
National development banks are generally tasked with supporting economic development in a nation. Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are also often referred to as the "BRICS" nations due to their emerging economies.

3. After pilot, Accenture's blockchain tech to soon see full-scale roll-out

Global IT services giant Accenture will soon see the roll-out of its blockchain solutions by two oil and gas majors in Asia-Pacific and North American regions, and most part of the implementation is being done by the company’s advanced technology centre in India.
Though blockchain has grabbed a lot of attention globally as a transformational technology post its use in crypto currencies, the large-scale implementation by enterprises is still a far cry. The company had already piloted the solution in these companies, which would soon see enterprise-level implementation. “After a year of discussion and co-innovation with one of our oil and gas clients, proof of concept and solutions have been signed up. Now, they are going for full-scale global implementation. It will happen soon," according to Mohan Sekhar, Senior managing director and lead at Accenture Advanced Technology Centres in India. “We are doing a lot of work from our Indian centre.”
