루트스탁 사이드체인과 시빅 /Rootstock side chain and Civic
루트스탁은 비트코인의 사이드체인입니다.
그러니까 1 BTC를 루트스탁 체인으로 보내면 1 루트코인(RTC)이 되고
1 RTC를 비트코인 체인으로 보내면 1 BTC가 됩니다.
이런걸 뭐하러 만들었느냐...
비트코인의 높은 수수료와 느린 컨펌 문제에 대한 해결책인 동시에
이더리움에서와 같은 스마트 컨트랙을 돌릴 수 있는 플랫폼으로 만들어졌습니다.
루트스탁 체인에서는
블록시간이 10초,
비트코인과의 Merged Mining 으로 네트워크 해슁 파워를 유지하고
초당 트랜잭션 처리 가능 숫자는 On-Chain 으로 2000개, Off-Chain 으로 20000개.
이런 특색을 가지고 있는데...
이제까지 테스트넷에서 개발을 하고 완성도를 높여나가다가

메인넷이 나오면 실제로 비트코인을 루트스탁 체인으로 보내서 루트체인을 사용해보는 일이 가능해집니다.
물론 테스트넷 때도 그렇게 할 수 있었겠지만
메인넷은 피부에 와 닿는 느낌이 다르죠.
루트스탁은 세그윗과는 다른 스케일링 솔루션 입니다.
세그윗이 채택될 희망이 전혀 보이지 않던 2015년부터 개발이 시작되어
세그윗 없이도 사이드체인으로 스케일링을 도모해볼 수 있도록 설계되었고
물론 세그윗이 채택된 지금도 호환, 양립이 가능한 프로젝트 입니다.
한마디로, 비트코인에 한단계 발전을 가져올 좋은 프로젝트가 성과를 보이려는 찰나 입니다.
루트스탁은 ICO가 있는 것도 아니었고
루트스탁이라는 프로젝트에 딱히 투자할 방법이 없습니다.
다만,
메인넷 출시가 되고 나면
루트스탁 플랫폼 위에서 진행되는 프로젝트 중 개인적으로 가장 흥미로운
비니링햄의 시빅이 그 수혜를 받지 않을까 생각합니다.

When the main net comes out, you can actually use the root chain to send the bit coin to the root stock chain.
Of course you could have done that on test net,
The main net has a different feel to the skin.
Rootstack is a scaling solution that is different from Seguwit.
Development began in 2015, when there was no hope for Segwitt to be adopted.
Designed to allow scaling with side chains without a segwitt
Of course, Segwitt is still compatible and compatible.
In short, it is time for a good project to bring a bit of progress to the beat coin.
Roostack did not have an ICO.
