Giving CoinGecko's KyberWidget a Try!
Before I even considered trying this out, I did some research on what I needed to try this out as I have always been hesitant to opening up accounts or evening signing up using my email for anything these days. I was quickly sold on these feature as it provided support for hardware wallets which I think is great to ensure added security when transacting any time of cryptocurrency. I also cannot forget to admit that I kind of want to compete for some of the great prizes as part of this contest; I enjoy putting crypto-related stickers on my computer as I am traveling as it often encourages interesting discussions in many places.

So I start by choosing what asset to swap and although there were a number I was interested in, given the small amount I was going to test this with, I wanted to use one that I already had in my portfolio. So, I decided to go for 0x (ZRX) as it continues to be one of the most interesting decentralized exchanges out there that has made some great progress, including being listed on Coinbase. Sorry that it may be a competitor of the Kyber Network but I think there is more than enough room for these decentralized exchanges as they move forward in innovating new ways to improve the user experience. I think this is what Kyber and CoinGecko had in mind in doing this, as it seemed very straight forward (until the end).

Once you select the Swap option located near the asset name, you then select the tokens you are wanting to swap. I decided to use my experimental Ether stash to swap for some ZRX. After choosing the amount, you can select agree to terms to continue to the next step. Advance settings get into the GAS limits you want to set for fees but I almost always use recommended settings as a personal preference.

Then, you select how you want to import your address. This was the greatest part as I could use my Ledger Nano S almost seamlessly to use the security of the wallet to make this transaction. This is great for those of us that hate to use passwords for log ins online and provides for a quick and easy way to secure funds. At this time, you will need to also connect the hardware wallet and unlock it for use.

This will then detect the balances from the address path you select. You can then select an address to use for the incoming swap.

When you press continue, it will take you to a confirmation screen to review the details of the transaction such as amounts and fees.

Unfortunately, this is when I got the error seen above. I thought I had done something wrong so I tried again with no success. I also tried with another asset but ran into the same message that did not allow me to complete the swap. I have a theory that it has to do with the “Select HD derivation path” I selected as it did not list the Ledger however if I choose the Ledger path, it would not return my address balance. I continue to research this and hope that this post could also serve for some troubleshooting on this.
While I could not complete the swap due to the error above, I think that once pressing the confirm button, it would be instantly completed which is an easy interface that I would surely use more often; particularly as token options expand. The fact that you can complete your research and transact all in one place is a great option for those interested in having access to these tokens. I look forward to being able to complete the experience so look forward to some guidance in the comments below.

Ox was one of the first coins I owned...that's when I believed in Ethereum. Nevertheless, Ethereum is still a household name.
I think it has a great decentralized option out there today.
Great utility in transacting as it seems you don’t even need an email or verification! Hope you can figure it out!

I so far have not had to provide email nor any type of information which is great for a quick swap!
Greetings, very good information, pity that you could not make the change .. I wanted to know what other pages you can recommend me to win cryptocurrencies without investing ... so steemit type ... or reliable fauces .... thanks in advance. 😊
I really do not trust sites like those that but I think Steem is the best out there. The other thing that many are doing are watching for those platforms that are given token holder airdrops like NEO and EOS. There are also many projects here on STEEM that are developing Smart Media Tokens (SMTs) that are already being distributed outside the blockchain but will eventually find their ways onto are wallets here. For example, @actifit is providing tokens to fitness activity whereas @steemhunt is providing tokens for a number of activities related to their App. Many options in reality!
