Seems to me that coinbase have it every which way they want it. A popular platform for the newly initiated into the crypto world, which allows a certain freedom to charge over the odds fees.

It seems that coins do their best to pander to coinbase so as to get a foot in the door in the hope of being included in a future roll out.
