Coinbase appoints former AWS employee and Microsoft as vice president of engineering

According to the official blog post on August 6, Tim Wagner, a former employee of Microsoft and Amazon Web Services (AWS) joined Coinbase as the new vice president of engineering.

Now at the head of the Crypto-Bourse engineering team, Wagner is "at the heart of Coinbase's mission to create a financial system open to the world".

He will also be responsible for expanding his team by recruiting engineers from San Francisco, New York and Chicago to build "the most open, secure and accessible financial system for everyone. "

Wagner was previously the general manager of AWS for more than five years, taking care of AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway and AWS Serverless App Repository.

Long before that, he was the development director at Microsoft Visual Studio Ultimate.

Coinbase polishes his team

The cryptocurrency trading platform and its digital Coinbase portfolio recently hired Jeff Horowitz as the new chief compliance officer. Rachel Horowitz , a former communications expert at Facebook and Twitter, has also been hired as Vice President of Communications.

In parallel, Coinbase announced the support of 49 recent digital currencies last week. Included in this list are Ripple (XRP), EOS (EOS), Monero (XRM), VeChain (VEN), Cardano (ADA), Bitcoin Gold (BTG).
