By "schematic framework" do you mean physical visual perception? If so, yes it applies as I mention with the human eye blind spots and filling-in the gaps, and can be understood also with our eyes as a camera lens to see things or not, clear or blurred. Our ability to perceive in our internal "6th" sense of consciousness is heavily impacted by our ability to perceive with the other 5 senses.
