Dear international friends
Dear international friends,
That's how we drink coffee in Italy.
We mainly drink espresso.
We dont drink americano.
Americano doesn't exist in Italy.
Unless you go somewhere cool in Milano, like Starbucks, and that's not considered Italy.
If you dare to ask americano, people might consider you weird and not worth an answer.
You might find available all the mixes of latte, caffe macchiato, macchiatone, cappuccino.
The variety of milk and coffee mixes are drunk mainly in the morning.
We don't sit down to drink coffee, we stand at the coffeeshop and drink it like a shot, like I do in this video link.

(Do not swallow it directly in your throat like a whiskey)
Seems to me that Starbucks has done more to "corrupt" coffee culture around the world than to actually develop it... people more and more ignore local traditions and ask for coffee drinks simple "because they are at Starbucks."
Starbucks represents the consumerist devilish representation of coffee.
