My Guide To Cold Drip Coffee

If you are a coffee lover like me and have to much money to buy a machine for making cold drip coffee, than here it is a guide to make the perfect Cold Drip Coffee.

But lets start by explaining what is cold drip coffee, there are a few ways of creating cold coffee, the easiest way is cold brew, were you just put coffee and water together and wait for a few hours, than filter everything and you are done.

Here is a great example of cold brew:

But if you have too much money, you could buy a cold dripper like the Hario Water Dripper Clear for around 200$

You have three containers, the water drips slowly from the top via the faucet on the coffee, from there it goes slowly through the coffee and drips at the end into the coffee pot. The whole process takes about 5-6h.

The best tasting coffee I have found out you get, if you grind 44g of coffee + 700ml of water.

Try to choose a loose grind, (a few steps over medium)

After that put the coffee into the middle container, put a filter on Top of it and pre-wet the coffee. The filter is there to distribute the water so that all the coffee stays wet all the time.

Set everything together and set the drip rate to 1-1.5 drips per second.

From time to time you should check if the driprate is still alright.

After a few hours you are done, your cold drip coffee is ready.

I normally drink them with icecubes, or with milk but with vanilla ice, you could make a pretty amazing ice coffee. And the best part is, that you can store it in the refrigerator for over a week. Especially now at the summer time cold drip taste amazing. So what is your favorite way of drinking coffee?
