Ah its to bad Tesla's only problem was not a puff of smoke ...... (hint its not)

Tesla has some not so well known funding issues. Be VERY careful if you are thinking to buy Tesla on this gap down. Let's take a closer look at some of the not so well known Tesla head winds.

Everyone who is even casually interested in Tesla's stock knows that Elon Musk made an erroneous "taking Telsa private" tweet. Everyone knows Elon then followed this up by smoking a blunt with Joe Rogan on his pod cast.

What most people don't know is that Telsa has $566 million worth of notes due Nov. 1st of this year that can be redeemed for cash if Tesla's stock price is not $759 per share... These of course can be refinanced but Telsa started the year paying roughly 5.9% interest. With all this added drama current yields were 8.1% BEFORE the SEC bomb shell last night. That's a lot of extra cost making Elon Musks toke quite possibly the most expensive toke ever.

Tesla also has a $920 million convertible note maturing in March... That's a lot of cash, and it doesn't include money that could be required to further streamline the company's Model 3 production and distribution process.
