Welcome to my first Steemit series about my passion for coffee! I am a certified coffee roaster and have learned my craft at the Coffee Consulate in Mannheim. With years of experience as a barista and quality manager for raw coffee, I am ready to share my knowledge with you.

In my work as a barista and coffee roaster, it is my passion to bring the coffee culture back to people. With my Baristamobile, I am on the road to events, markets and company parties to infect people with my passion for coffee.

This week, I would like to take you on a journey through the history of coffee to understand how this magical bean became what it is today. The history of coffee goes back as far as the 15th century. It is said that the legend of a Ethiopian shepherd named Kaldi discovered the magical properties of the coffee plant when he observed that his sheep were full of energy after eating the beans. He shared this discovery with the monks nearby, who eventually roasted and brewed the beans to make a refreshing drink.

From here, the consumption of coffee spread, first in the Arab world and later in Europe and the USA. Over the centuries, the way coffee is made and consumed has changed significantly, but the passion for this magical bean has never changed.
