Have you ever wanted to sip to a coffee where the art made by the froth is a portrait of yourself? Now you can do it, not at the kopitiam downstairs, not at the starbucks near your house, but you would have to travel to Europe’s London to do it. Time to go beg borrow steal enough money to buy yourself a ticket (just make sure you don’t say is I teach you one hor~). The Tea Terrace, a cafe based in House of Fraser’s Oxford Street branch has debuted a “selfieccino” machine that allows you to do just that, sip on to coffee with your portrait as a form of coffee art.

Technology meets Food
By using a messaging app, the customer could send their portrait (typically a selfie, although it could really be anything) to the cino machine. The machine uses a type of tasteless food colouring to print the picture on to the froth. You get to choose either a cup of cappuccino or hot chocolate as your canvas.

Instagram Worthy
The owner of the restaurant believes that an additional ingredient in the making of a successful cafe these days includes the use of social media and products needed to be instagram worthy. (because all the chao geena this generation are so social media savvy)

Photo-ception
Yes, a portrait in a portrai inside your instagram and other social media you use. The hashtag “selfieccino” went viral after the cafe debuted the service. Sadly, a google search reveal that there is no such cafe or machine that could do that in Singapore.

Price and Location
A cup of cappuccino with your selfie cost just shy of 10SGD. But if you value instagram and social media more than the 10-bucks, it would most likely be worth it for you bah~ Pretty sure all of us have spent more than 10 for a cup of starbucks anyway.
