Starting to grow mushrooms on coffee grounds begins with collecting coffeegrounds.
You can use your own coffee, if you are a serious coffee drinker.

Because you need at least 1 kg of coffeegrounds to make it happen.

Or if you have a local restaurant or coffeeshop in your town or nearby you can ask them if you can get their coffeegrounds.

The best way is to contact them first and ask when you can pick it up.
Mostly it will be the next day or at the same night. It's best to get the grounds as soon as possible, so it's still fresh and pasteurised.

When you tell them you are starting growing mushrooms, you can even make your coffee supplier your customer.

Best usage is within three days. Otherwhise it will get contaminated with other fungi.

What you also need is mycelium from edible mushrooms. You can get that at different places. On the internet you can look for mushroom spawn.
I got mine at a garden center where they sold bales with straw mixed with oyster mushroom mycelium.

So I had straw and mycelium at once.

Till next time..to be continued.
