Code of Talent Designs an Educational Platform in a Microlearning Format
The evolution of educational system represents a shift from institutions with traditional books toward a community, that is highly influenced by technology. A variety of new methods are used for digitization of educational material and communication between students and teachers. In that regard, Code of Talent draws attention to the need for the establishment of effective educational platform, where both learners and educators can equally benefit from the participation.
The issue on equal opportunities to learn is included in the company's mission, as its statement declares that everyone will be able to develop their skills and realize their true potential. To address this problem, Code of Talent will implement a microlearning approach, which is a learning strategy that delivers short content in numerous modules, that all relate to one topic.
Core principles of the platform
When developing a new learning approach, it is equally important to deliver quality content and build an infrastructure to allow students to receive it. A lack of attention span can be a primarily reason for difficulties in perception. Microlearning is a main principle, upon which all related measures are based. It breaks information into smaller pieces of learning material in order to make each module specific. Therefore, students will be provided with targeted information.
Each learning session lasts 10 minutes. The number of course participants will not exceed 40, and each student can interact with the educator and other participants. For that, open debate space will be available to all group members. In order to motivate learners and educators to actively participate in the educational process, the system will implement an incentive mechanism. Thus, educators will get rewards based on their ranking, and learners will receive tokens with regard to their course progress.
Interaction is another key target of the platform. In order to enhance interaction between learners and educators, the system will introduce a network of personal coaches to provide learners with sessions, where they can thoroughly examine learning material with some extra examples or clarify some points.
Participants of the platform
The key challenge of the project is to create tools for interactive learning environment with engaging content, so that each participant will be involved in the process.
1. Educators will be able to place their learning material and harnesses the platform to enhance their rating scores. Those educators, who provide courses with a large number of students with the high quality of teaching, can be promoted to a higher level with regard to their ranking, which is the Premium Content Provider. Being on this level allows for a greater monetization of the courses, so that educators will be able to charge learners a certain number of tokens.
2. Everyone who is willing to develop their talents or acquire new knowledge can become a student on the platform. Unlike traditional courses, microlearning frame enables learners to receive personalized content, which is specifically designed for their goals. On top of that, employers can be provided with achievement records of the students in order to offer a position in their company.
3. The platform is designed for third party participation. Third party members will be employers, advertisers and sponsors:
-employers will receive learner academic records;
-advertisers will be able to promote their brands;
-sponsors are both businesses and individuals who are interested in sponsoring talents.
