My Dear Cockatiels
Today was the day to play with my cockatiel!
Lately I haven't had much time to pay attention to them. Not the proper attention they deserve, with much care and dedication.
For those who do not know, cockatiels are very docile animals. At first they tend to be a little suspicious until they get used to you. Then they get behind you almost all the time, singing and whistling.
They love saltine crackers!
And climb by our feet then ...
Here in Rio de Janeiro, the price of cockatiels is usually between USD 15.00 and USD 150.00. On average there is a beautiful cockatiel for about USD 37.00.
I have a couple, I both got from a neighbor family friend. They must be about 2 years old.
The female is extremely tame and quiet, while the male is extremely resourceful and brave, the explorer of environments.
If one day you have such a pet, take great care and be very careful with food (using only the proper rations), vaccines and vitamins, temperature of the place and especially when walking and with objects that may hurt them.
