I want to be a youth wrestling coach, but I've never coached kids. Any quality info appreciated.
I watch collegiate wrestling whenever I get a chance and I have a strong desire to get involved in the sport that I enjoyed so much growing up.
I've found several books on the subject, but if any of you steemians are coaches, I sure would like your input on the subject.
I'm @runridefly, and some of us are just born to love wrestling. I sure hope one of my sons wants to wrestle.
perfect example.
excellent @runridefly
I tried to teach kids taiji and it's not easy. Maybe because they are more active and taiji is too slow for them. Maybe, you have better luck with wrestling .
yes sir ... u can watch dangal movie produced in India .... perfect example of how to train childrens...
I will check it out. Thank you for the comment.
u r welcm sir
Just remember a child is a small adult so they don't have to be treated differently. Just treat them with respect. You were a child once, so you must become a child again...go down to their level.
Yes @alokkoshal is right ..dangal is the perfect movie you can learn from
Big , yet honorable task you take on here my friend. I wrestled all my life and to this day, when I think about what gave me a base, what built me... it was my wrestling - namely the coaches. It was the wrestling room. The practice-The grind. It was the constant testing and looking up to my coaches as an example. What did your coaches do to you? What did they spark in you? If you can embody and project that honestly, I think you are on the right track. Hats off to you Sir. Best of luck doing the real work IMO!
My freshman year in high school, we had the only state champ from our school and he was a champ as a man, a coach and a human. Thank you my friend.
I'm following you my friend and what part of the world are you from?
The US, @runridefly I wrestled in California. Central-Cal. How about you?
I live in visalia ca, so same
