In my third year at work, my boss asked me to accompany a client to a five-star hotel for a breakfast buffet. Feeling a bit shy, I confessed it was my first time experiencing such a luxurious meal. I initially thought I was there to assist, but to my surprise, my boss invited me to join them. I felt a mix of nervousness and excitement as I approached the buffet, loading up my plate with mostly bacon, inspired by what I'd seen in movies. My boss and the client looked surprised, but while my boss seemed a bit displeased, the client kindly encouraged me to explore and enjoy. From that moment, I realized my limited exposure and vowed to strive harder. It was heartening when the client later requested me as their key account manager, seeing a reflection of his younger self in me. This recognition deeply honored me and strengthened my determination to succeed, despite my humble beginnings.
