Where to watch the fall foliage in New England? （Original Photo) 在美国东北部那些地方赏枫叶（附美图）

The most attractive season to me is the fall in the New England! The leaves start to change from green to yellow, orange and red from middle September to early November. This period is the best time to enjoy the fall foliage in New England. At the first, I thought the foliage starts from the warm place first. Actually, I was totally wrong. The Foliage color generally starts to change in the higher, cooler areas and then spreading down into the lake valley, moving from north to south across the states. The quality of the leaves depends on the sun, weather and rain of the year.
美国东北部新英格兰地区让我最迷恋的就是这里的秋天了，每一年九月中树叶就开始从绿色变为黄的, 橙的, 红的枫叶一直到到十一月初， 这一段时间都是新英格兰最佳赏叶时期。 我刚开始的时候以为枫叶变色是从南边天气热的地方开始。其实错了，枫叶的变化是从北边的山地向南边的海洋慢慢变色过来的。每年枫叶的质量和数量还得看当年的日照丶气温和雨水有关。

The Charming foliage peak season is only four or five weeks. It is hard to catch every town’s best time, but it is possible if you follow my suggestion and you have time to visit all the places. I recommend a few places that I have been before.
迷人的枫叶顶盛季节也就只有短短四五个星期。要怎样才不会错过每一个小镇的最佳时间，还可以多去不同的地方看看。我可以给你一些建议也推荐一些我去过的一些地方。

Vermont佛蒙特州

The leaves turn in the middle of September until the middle of October is the peak season. Vermont is one of my favor place, I love the beautiful mountain villas in this state. You can follow the trail in the woods, stepping on the soft leaves, and then you are into the golden mountains… Or you can ride a bike along country roads… Or you just drive your car to see the magnificent scenery everywhere!
这里的枫叶在九月中就开始变色了，到十月中就过了高峰期。这也是我比较偏爱的一个地方，我喜欢那些秀丽的山。你可以沿着树林里的小径，踩着松软的落叶，钻进金灿灿的山林里。 你也可以带上自行车骑在山间小道上。 或者就是随便开车兜兜风也到处都是风景。这个州有几个小镇都上了有名的杂志。

New Hampshire新罕布夏州

NH is well known for the White Mountains and the Lake Region. The leaves changing is around a week later than Vermont. The peak season is around end of September. The colors of Autumn in the White Mountains are dazzling。And there is winding sand stream flows sluggishly along the foot of the White Mountains。 Adding all the red, orange and yellow leaves, the gorgeous colors are painted on the landscape. Besides the mountains, you can also drive to Lake Region, the crystal water in the lakes is clear as ocean, and the colorful trees reflected in the lakes.
这个州有名的就是白山公园和湖泊区，枫叶变色比佛蒙特州要晚一周左右，大概在九月底才变色。 白山的颜色变化非常的光彩夺目的。白山底下还有一条蜿蜒曲折的沙底小河顺着山脚涓涓地流着，再配上红的橙的黄的枫叶，就像是走在画里面。出了北山，你还可以开车去旁边的湖区逛逛，秀丽的枫叶树木倒影在湖里。

Maine缅因州

I would like to recommend the Acadia National Park, the foliage peak season is early October. This park has thousands of acres of different trees, the foliage color is vibrant too! When you climb to the top of the mountain and you can see all the beautiful scenery below！ And the Grafton Notch State Park is good place to visit too.
我推荐的缅因州的阿卡迪亚国家公园，旺季是在十月初以后一两周，阿卡迪亚国家公园有着数千亩的各种树木，枫叶的颜色也是色彩鲜明的。爬上山顶就一览山下美景！还有那里的 Grafton Notch 州立公园去看看也不错。

I also recommend that you should book your staying place one month earlier. There are many quaint country inns or air B&B，which are cheaper than hotels. And you can get the farm-to-table dining. But the temperature in the mountains is a few degrees lower than Boston, it is better to bring some warm coats. And do not forget to drink a cup of hot maple cider!
我还有一些建议，赏叶旺季一定要在一个月前把住的地方订好，山里有很多家庭旅馆，价格比酒店便宜，还可以吃上当地农场里的特产。可山里面气温比波士顿低了好几度。到了山里最好再带上一个外套。最后提醒你别忘了点一杯枫蜜热饮！
