RE: 30/6/2017 Cn-abuse 的报告 ( Report for Cn-abuse on 30/6/2017)

in #cn7 years ago (edited)

This doesn't help the newcomers that much, and I'm sure you can see that, it's not like there are hundreds of non-china related posts flooding the cn section. You don't see non-China related posts in the new section of cn, you aren't helping the newcomers by doing this. If you really want to help the newcomers, you should upvote them, comment on their posts and resteem, tell them how to get better. Posting stuff like this isn't helping them at all. Because a lot of the posts you listed are China related, like the one with Alipay and WeChat support bitcoin. There are a huge amount of foreigners in China, not every foreigner can write an article in Chinese, so what tag do you expect them to use to attract people to their China related posts? That's the reason you are getting downvoted. Also, when you comment on people's posts about them misusing the tag cn, don't threaten them they will be downvoted, it's not a nice way to deal with things. Just kindly remind them cn means China related topics or posts in Chinese, and please pay attention in the future. Because I saw quite a few people thought cn meant something else.

Firstly, I am here to apologise to misflag your post.
Secondly, thanks for your kind feedback, I will take your advice as I think that was more appropriate.
However, I will still continue to warning some post that are totally unrelated to cn tag, like porn, 色情网站支持btc付款,that kind of post I cant bear it.

Can you understand my stand more clear now?

Apology accepted. I appreciate your effort, however, you should take a different approach. I totally support you for flagging posts that are either not in Chinese nor China related. But for posts in other languages that are about China, they should be able to use the cn tag, I found out today that there is a china tag, but that one isn't nearly as popular as cn. I also think it's important to promote China to other people, which needs posts in other languages about China, limiting cn to posts in Chinese only is not the best approach, afterall, we should keep an open mind. Just take a softer approach when you try to tell people about the cn tag. The best way I think is to tell them first, if it's a misunderstanding, then we are all good. But for posts like porn and stuff, and the posts used cn on purpose knowing it is about china to attract traffic but has nothing about china, you should put them in a list, but for people who misunderstood the meaning of cn, there's no need to put them in the list (there were a few posts like this in the list you put out). What can also try to promote the china tag in the cn tag section, so when it's big enough, we have more options as well.

Well, thanks for your advice, I will take note of it.
