I was told an interesting story about the cathedral on Plzen's Old Town Square. If you look at it, it appears that maybe it was supposed to have two towers. I was told that it was, but the mayor stole a lot of money from the project and used it for his second daughter's dowry. So the builders had to make some adjustments to deal with the sudden lack of money.
