Previously I have shared with you guys – my Steemit friends! – the TRAIN trip in the New Taipei City. Today just spare me a moment and I’ll bring you all to the Taichung City. I tell you what – it is so much different from Taipei!!
昨天跟大家分享了新北市的鐵道之旅，今天給我一點時間，讓我帶大家到台中，台中跟台北可真是大不同喔！
Difference between Metro and Railway
台北捷運、台鐵大不同
Before I came to Taiwan, I always stupidly mixed up Metro and Railway in Taiwan. Maybe the reason is that in Hong Kong, there is MTR only.
在我去台灣之前，我總是以為台灣 捷運 和 台鐵 是一樣的，可能是因為在香港裡只有地下鐵。
Taipei Metro 台北捷運
We can travel to places within Taipei by Metro. It is similar to MTR in Hong Kong and the Tube in London. During the journey, we just need the EasyCard (mimicking Octopus card in HK and Oyster card in the London) which stores credits for travel instead of using cash for tickets.
我們可以搭乘捷運在台北裡穿梭，這跟香港和倫敦的地鐵有點像，我們可以把錢存進悠遊卡 (就像香港的八達通和倫敦的蠔卡) ，就不須用現金。
Taiwan Railway 台鐵
Railway allows us to travel around Taiwan, not just within the Taipei city. Before each journey, we need to get the train ticket. We have to pay special attention to the departure time.
台鐵讓我們在台灣裡穿梭，不只在台北市。每一次行程前，我們要買火車票，還得留意出發的時間喔。
Paper Dome 紙教堂
Built in 1995, the Paper Dome is a church constructed using paper tubes as the structural elements (Yes! Don’t be surprised it is really made of paper!!!). The famous Japanese architect Shigeru Ban designed it on a pro-bono basis after the Great Hanshin Earthquake as a temporary church. It later acts as both a religious worship church and a communal gather place.
台中的第一站是充滿和平氣息的「紙教堂」，它建於1995年，以紙管為主要建築材料。在日本阪神地震後，日本建築師阪茂先生在日本設計了這座臨時教堂，後來並把它空運到台灣，作為敬拜和社區聚會的好地方。

它的屋頂用帆布造成，所以真的防水喔!!
