Language learning can be a challenging experience. Especially if one only understands Chinese while doing so. Ba dum tss

So why not make learning fun or atleast interesting?!

The Moon represents my heart

It's time to speed up my Chinese game while simultaneously learning some beautiful songs.
Enjoy!

Oh and don't worry. I stop singing 30 seconds in.

@wishmaiden do you think my singing voice got any future?

I first wanted to upload my video to either viewly or drive but neither one let me do it so you have to get along with good old YouTube for now. @furion we have to talk.

Now the lyrics:

I don't think I would have the patience to learn the most difficult language ever..haha..
Respect brother!
I am learnig spanish but this is already very difficult for me, I cannot imagine how chinese must be!! Good luck mate, it looks like you are a good language student :)

Hey Mitchie! Chinese isn't even that difficult after all in my opinion. :D

I think it just got labeled as the world's most difficult language because of the pictograms one has to learn to read and write but in general I prefer it over European languages because it totally lacks hard grammar or cases or anything which makes language learning frustrating ;)

Really? I did not expect this at all :D good to know. Viel glück mein freund

Nice dude going all in!! Did you write out all the characters and pin yin for the lyrics too?

I'd like to share one of my favourite Chinese songs that I tried mastering as well: It's called "Ordinary Road" by Pu Shu

and here are the lyrics with pinyin/characters/English

Hey @eitsky thanks for stopping by!

I wrote the Chinese letters myself for practicing reasons using my Chinese smartphone keyboard but copied the Pinyin transcription from the web as putting the right tones above individually would need to much time.

Going to have a listen to your song after I am finished brewing coffee and will add it to my Chinese Songs-to-learn-for-KTV playlist.

Thanks for sharing! \(^○^)人(^○^)/

How profound is your Chinese?

I've been here about 3 years now so I'm not at expert level but I can hold a conversation fairly well. Out of all the learning methods, learning through music is the funnest! I also like to use Memrise. It's been a lot of help for the characters.

Fun! goodluck

Thanks mate! I already infected my coworkers with that song :D

hahah still like it that your are in China, enjoy

Thanks my friend :D China is awesome! Have you already got the chance to visit this beautiful country?

I did, the Soutern part of China and later Hong Kong, very interesting. enjoy your time there!

thanks for teaching us lol - great job, practice makes perfect

Aye and anytime! Now working on the La La Land Theme in Chinese!

good stuff , you are multi-faceted, good trait ;)

The Hero with a Thousand Faces (first published in 1949) is a work of comparative mythology by American mythologist Joseph Campbell. In this book, Campbell discusses his theory of the journey of the archetypal hero found in world mythologies.

In laying out the monomyth, Campbell describes a number of stages or steps along this journey. The hero starts in the ordinary world, and receives a call to enter an unusual world of strange powers and events (a call to adventure). If the hero accepts the call to enter this strange world, the hero must face tasks and trials (a road of trials), and may have to face these trials alone, or may have assistance.
