The disaster left tens of thousands homeless and reshaped the city's architectural pattern. In the aftermath, London embarked on a wave of reconstruction, designed by the famous architect Christopher Wren, including the iconic St. Paul's Cathedral. Although the Great Fire of London had a devastating impact, ultimately the city's infrastructure and fire-fighting technology.
