Come to Shanghai with me - Day 1 隨我遊上海 ─ 第一天

Shanghai is the world’s largest city, and it’s also China’s financial center. Regardless of where you’re from, you will be impressed by its multi-cultures. In this city you can see modern skyscrapers, as well as a mixture of historical Western and Eastern architecture. Whether you want a nice scenery or great entertainment, Shanghai has it all, and you have to come for a visit.
上海是全世界最大的城市，也是全中國的金融中心，不管你來自哪裡，都會對這裡的多元文化留下深刻印象。在這個城市可以看到現代化的高樓大廈，也可以看到歷史上遺留下來各種中式和西式的古老建築。觀賞風景，吃喝玩樂，要什麼有什麼，絕對是個必遊之城。

我第一次來上海，如果你從來沒來過，可以隨著我的腳步探索上海，你會看到很多新奇的事物。

1. Accommodation 住宿

I used the eLong APP to book the hotel. It is about 10 minutes’ walk from the Tiantong Rd Metro station. I caught the Metro from the Shanghai South Station to Tiantong Rd Metro station, and then I caught the Taxi to the hotel.
我是用艺龙APP訂的旅館，離天潼路地鐵站步行約十分鐘。我從上海南站坐地鐵到天潼路站後，再打車到了旅館。

This hotel is in the centre of Shanghai, and cost about 210 RMB (31 USD) per night. The bed is clean and the furniture is quite exquisite.
這個旅館在上海市中心，一個晚上約210人民幣。床很乾淨，家具也挺高級。

What’s special about this room is that its bathroom wall is transparent!
這個房間很特殊，浴室的牆壁竟然是透明的!

2. Waitan (Outer Beach) 外灘

Waitan is within 10 minutes walk from this hotel. Waitan’s eastern side is Huangpu River and its western side is the Shanghai’s financial and trade center, which also known as “Eastern Wall Street”.
從這個旅館步行十分鐘就能到外灘。外灘東面為黃浦江，西面是上海金融和貿易機構中心，有「東方華爾街」之稱。

You can see blue road signs pointing to Waitan on the way, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost.
路上能看到往外灘的指標，不須擔心走錯路。

On the way to Waitan, you will see the Oriental Pearl Tower.
在往外灘的路上就能看到東方明珠塔。

Crossing the Suzhou creek you will see this scenery. Remember the bridge in the photo (Waibaidu Bridge), you will see it later from the top of the Oriental Pearl.
過蘇州河時看到的風景，記住照片裡面那座橋 (外白渡橋)，等會兒我們從東方明珠塔頂往下看會看到這座橋。

You will see this Shanghai Hero memorial tower. It was built in 1993 to commemorate the revolutionaries.
剛到外灘就能看到上海市人民英雄紀念塔，1993年為紀念革命英雄而建。

Look at the top of from the bottom, this is quite a tall structure, very majestic.
從下往上看，這個塔很高，也很雄偉。

Standing from Waitan you can see many large ships on the Huangpu river. You can stare at them for ages and not be bored.
站在外灘看黃浦江上川流不息的大船，看好久都不厭倦。

Shanghai has the world’s busiest port. If you like watching ships, you will enjoy it here.
上海有全世界最繁忙的港口。喜歡看船的朋友，在這裡可以看個夠。

The Oriental Pearl Tower is on the opposite side of the Huangpu river. How do we get there?
黃浦江對岸的東方明珠塔一定得去。要怎麼去呢?

3. Oriental Pearl Tower 東方明珠塔

The official name of The Oriental Pearl Tower is The Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower. Its main function is to broadcast TV and radio programs. At 468m high, it was the tallest structure in China in 1994 when it was built, however it was surpassed by the Shanghai World Financial Center in 2007. The Oriental Pearl Tower is the landmark of Shanghai and is classified as an 5A scenic area.

The Oriental Pearl Tower is located at Lujiazui in Pudong by Huangpu River, opposite Waitan. The way from Waitan to Oriental Pearl is not incredibly obvious. I asked around and found out that the quickest way may be to use the Waitan tourist tunnel. The entrance is inside this “Tourist Information and Service Center”.

東方明珠塔全名為東方明珠廣播電視塔，高達468米，主要功能是傳送廣播電視訊號。東方明珠塔在1994年完工，當時是中國最高建築，直到2007年才被上海環球金融中心取代。現已成為上海地標，更是中國5A級的旅遊景點。

東方明珠塔位於浦東陸家嘴，我四處問了一下，從外灘到對岸東方明珠塔最快的方法是坐外灘觀光隧道，入口是在"上海旅遊諮詢服務中心"裡面。

Here you can buy a ticket to the Oriental Pearl observation deck as well. Tunnel + Tower are approximately 200 RMB (30USD) inclusive.
你可以在這裡順便買東方明珠的票。隧道+東方明珠總共200人民幣。

Inside the tunnel there are some special animations and sound.
隧道裡面有些奇特的動畫及音效。

Finally arrived at the Oriental Pearl. So spectacular!
到了東方明珠塔。好壯觀啊!

I went up to the top of the Oriental Pearl. Looking down from the observation deck, the ships on the Huangpu river look like toys.
到東方明珠塔頂，一覽上海全景，黃浦江上航行的船隻像玩具般一樣小。

You can see the places we walked past opposite the Huangpu river, the bridges on Suzhou creek and the Shanghai Hero Memorial Tower.
你可以從這裡看到稍早前經過的地方，譬如對岸的人民英雄紀念塔， 還有黃浦江支流蘇州河上的大橋。

See this lady sitting there, not scared at all.
一位美女坐在上面，一點都不怕。

這像一隻浮在空中的腳。

After I came down from the Oriental Pear, it is night time already. Have a look at the night scenery in front of the Oriental Pearl.
下塔之後已是華燈初上。給大家看一下東方明珠前面的夜景。

At night time the Oriental Pearl is so beautiful.
晚上的東方明珠實在太美了。

The lights even change colour.
塔的顏色還會隨著燈光而變化。

There is a department store in front of the Oriental Pearl. Go in there to buy something and promote economic growth.
東方明珠前的百貨公司。進去購物吧! 促進經濟成長。
