Unfortunately, in a PhD’s life even the simplest synthesis takes multiple steps like:
A→B→C→D....
And in particle physics, you can replace days by years. I remember having been promised the appearance of the first LHC data when I started my PhD. Data even came later... ;)
Oh my god....... so somehow if the LHC is down, then all post grads are going to defer? 😂
No no, there are always other things to do. But it is a different story to rely on simulations and on facts :)
