Introduce my home town - Tai Po the beautiful community 香港好去處 - 大埔樂遊遊

今天我又來繼續說說我家香港的小社區，相信大家來港旅遊都是打算去市中心，例如旺角銅鑼灣等的地方，都怪旅遊書只管鼓勵旅客到高消費地方。熱門地點是熱鬧美觀，可都是集團式的店鋪，不能體驗真正的本土文化。剛好昨天趁天氣清爽，來了個小社區一天遊，就順道介紹給大家咯。

Hi steemian, today I would like to continue to introduce my home town yo you. Most people visit Hong Kong for the purpose of shopping or visiting places recommended by the tourist guide. But I would suggest some local places to you if you are bored for the routine arrangement. Here we go!

今天要說的是大埔。大埔是新界區的一個主要小市鎮，人口相對的多，所以這裏美女食也多。這是社區中的一隅，大埔的舊區仍未發展，仍保留有人情味，古早味，是我喜歡的一個小社區。

This is a small town in Hong Kong, called Tai Po. It is the urban area in New Territories and thus Tai Po is still a developing town. But I like the town for its history and life style. This is the snapshot in the street.

舊市場旁邊是新落成的政府綜合大樓，裏面有空調市場，美食檔，雜貨店，圖書館，體育場等等，是多元化的大廈設計。

This is the newly built government complex. There are air-conditioning market, food courts, library, and sports ground in the building.

走進舊市場，人頭湧湧，大家都在這邊買菜，物價比新式市場低嘛。看那些招牌很有老舊的味道，店鋪都做了幾十年的生意了。

This is the old market place where most people would choose to buy stuffs here because the price is usually lower. The stores has been running their business for decades and you could smell the history from the shop signs.

這是大埔最有名的「亞婆豆腐花」，大暑天來一碗就最適合不過了。我趕路，回來再點吧。

The famous 'Ah Po To Fu Fa' in the area. It is the ideal dessert in such a hot day.

舊區的住宅，我們稱之為「唐樓」，大多都有五六十年歷史了，它們都是沒有電梯，住三樓吧，走上去吧。

The old buildings where people are still living in. Most of them has been 50 years old or even more. No lift was installed in these buildings.

民居附近的小公園，大家都是住了十多年，都已經熟絡了，沒事喜歡來公園聚聚閒話家常。

The residents like to have gathering in the park and share their daily living.

沿路走來到了林村河，或許大家沒有聽說過林村河，但林村是應該聽過了吧，或許我下次再介紹一下林村。

The Lam Tsuen River. Did you ever hear that? I think Lam Tsuen is kind of popular in some tourist guidebooks.

今天天朗氣清，河畔有很多人趁機來做做運動跑跑步。

It's nice weather today and lots people are running or cycling along the riverside.

河畔沿路風光不錯，海天一色很美麗。

來到了大埔的海濱公園，這裡有一座回歸紀念塔，顧名思義，就是紀念香港1997年的回歸。

I arrived at the Tai Po Waterfront Park and walked up to the Tai Po Lookout Tower, which is built to memorize the returning of Hong Kong to China in 1997.

People were flying kites.

沿回歸塔走到附近，是小園林，也可以看到海景。

I walked around the Lookout Tower and reached a tiny garden. Here I could have the nice view of the sea.

在歸程的路途上去附近的小市場跟熟識的老闆打個招呼吧！這道橋很有特色吧。

I went to the small market nearby to chat with my friend who is working there.

在菜市場中央有一座小小的文武廟呢！

There is a Man Mo Temple in the market. Isn't it amazing?

今天是廿四節氣的大暑，當然要吃一碗冰凍的綠豆花作結束啦！

Of course I would have the tasty To Fu Fa (Tofu dessert) before returning my home :)
