Exactly the way I learned English, I was listening to my playlist on the way to and from work for a while and one day my brain just clicked and I could understand them. it didn't take long before I could watch movies and don't notice they're not my native language. never had to study, just occasional check word checks with a dictionary or google translate.
I think this is the best way to learn a language, of course you need formal training on the grammar part of the language. However, listening and spoken part of it could be trained this way!
