There are many Maple Leaf sight seeing travel spot in Japan. In my opinion, the most breath taking one is Eikando in Kyoto. Eikando has the name of Maple Leaf Zenrin-ji Temple which is the most famous Maple Leaf spot in Kyoto. You know, it is not easy to named as the best among many Maple Leaf spots in Kyoto!

日本賞楓景點非常多，要數著名及壯觀的，印象中以京都的永觀堂最美麗！永觀堂有「紅葉永觀堂」之稱，能在古都京都賞楓景點中獲得這響亮的名字，可不是簡單呢。

I retrieve the trip review of that day. The journey for whole day was taking photo and visiting Maple Leaf day and night. I preferred the Maple Leaf at night so I wrote this Top of the Maple Leaf Spot in Kyoto.

回看那天遊記，一整天行程也在京都賞楓，拍了很多很多照片，白天和晚上的紅葉各有特色，個人比較喜歡夜楓，所以這次寫的是夜楓景色的頂點：永觀堂！

Because of Eikando popularity, the visitors and tourists needed to queue up before evening. The opening hours for night section started from 17:30 pm. I strongly suggest to arrive around 16:00 and start to queue up. I had queue up around 45 minutes! You can see how many visitors in the photo?

永觀堂因為她的夜楓美名，觀光客早已經要早到準備排隊夜間入場。夜間特別時間是17:30-20:30，建議大家如果要來永觀堂賞夜楓，必需早點來排隊，你看排隊人龍？！為了她我排了四十五分鐘呢！

Let me briefly talk about the history of Eikando. It was found in 853 AD and named as Zenrin-ji as well. It is the head temple for the Seizan branch of Japan's Jōdo-shū (Pure Land) Buddhist sect. There are 58 works of art treated as National Treasures of Japan and Important Cultural Assets. The most famous one is Mikaeri Amida Nyorai (Sources: Wiki)

From middle of November till the end of November, Eikando will light up at night for Maple Leaf visiting. The adult entering fee is 600YEN while sometimes will be 1000Yen depending on season. There are some rules that the tourists must obey such as no flash light, no photo in temple, no tripod or selfie stick are allowed. It is because it would hurt the valuable property there.

這晚為了賞夜楓而來，因為11月中至下期間，晚上的庭園會點起燈光，欣賞寺廟園景和紅葉的美景。入場成人費用600円，部分日子會加至1000円。進入園內時要注意古蹟文物不可以以閃光燈拍照，某些寺廟內部禁止拍照，三腳架自拍棍影響到途人也不可以使用，畢竟寺廟是珍貴的文物呢。

这晚为了赏夜枫而来，因为11月中至下期间，晚上的庭园会点起灯光，欣赏寺庙园景和红叶的美景。入场成人费用600円，部分日子会加至1000円。进入园内时要注意古迹文物不可以以闪光灯拍照，某些寺庙内部禁止拍照，三脚架自拍棍影响到途人也不可以使用，毕竟寺庙是珍贵的文物呢。

After entering Eikando, it was totally different feelings on the Maple Leaf among day and night. The following content, let us see more photo of it! Let’s start with Muan (夢庵)

The Pagoda (多寶塔) is hidden in the hill and forrest.

在山上的 “多寶塔” 隱藏在樹林當中，透過紅葉縫隙之間拍攝一下。

After going upstairs, you will see the Descent Amida (Amitabha) that is the must go spot in Eikando.

這是阿彌陀堂下的階梯，上面的阿彌陀堂也是來永觀堂必到的地方。

The most popular spot is Hojo-ike pond (放生池). Every visitor followed one by one to view and take photo on the bridge. It is the most beautiful spot in Eikando. You can see the red leaf, the light, the pond and the reflection creat a beautiful picture! So nice!

而說到最多遊人排隊拍攝的位置，由橋尾排到橋中一個接一個的拍照呢！亦是全園最美麗的景點，就是放生池！整個園景和水池，燈光現合照射在紅葉上，加上水池的倒影，好美！

Frankly speaking, no wonder Eikando has “Maple Leaf Eikando” in Kyoto, or even in Japan. The night maple leaves were so beautiful and attracted many tourists coming here. Well, you can see there were still many people queuing up after I left. I strongly recommend you to arrange this spot into your Maple Leaf and Fall Foliage Trip in Autumn!

From JR Kyoto station: Take a city bus Route 5, get off at the bus stop Nanzen-ji Eikando-michi . 3-minute walk.
Take a city bus Route 100, get off at the bus stop Higashi Tenno-cho .8-minute walk.

From JR Kyoto station: Take the subway Karasuma line bound for Kokusai-kaikan ,change to the subway East-West line bound for Rokujizo at Karasuma-oike station and get off at Keage station. 15-minute walk.

From Keihan Sanjo station: Take a city bus Route 5, get off at the bus stop Nanzen-ji Eikando-michi . 3-minute walk.

From Keihan Jinguu-Marutamachi station: Take a city bus Route 204 or 93, get off at the bus stop Higashi Tenno-cho. 8-minute walk.

乘地下鐵東西線自「烏丸御池站」轉乘六地藏方向列車，至「蹴上站」下車後徒步約15分鐘即可抵達。

JR京都站搭乘市營巴士5號「岩倉操車前」方向，至「南禪寺、永觀堂道」下車後，徒步3分鐘即可抵達 / 巴士100號)「東天王町」下車、徒歩８分。
