Tokaido-Tokyo~Kyoto (東海道‐東京~京都):For anybody interested in Japan & its history/culture (009C)

in #cn6 years ago

After Tokyo, many visitors from abroad will visit "Keihanshin",
Kyoto・Osaka・Kobe. For sightseeing, Nara is also important
place in Keihanshin, though not well developed as business center,
but rather keeping many remains.

As in the map, distance between Tokyo and Osaka is some 550km
and by "Nozomi" (Super Express) bullet train, it takes two and
a half hours. For your reference, I live in Hamamatsu of
Shizuoka Prefecture, where is just a half between two giant cities
and I can go both cities in two hours using "Kodama" (Limited express)
bullet train. Namely "Kodama" runs between Tokyo and Osaka in four
hours stopping at each local station as Odawara, Shizuoka and etcetra.

Japan is a narrow land but has two separate areas of different
electric supllies as well as culture and customs including dialrct.
The map shows the line called the Central Rift Valley or FossaMagna,
which is said to be clearly seen from a satelite, which runs our
Shizuoka Prefecture.
Electric supply in Kanto (East half) is 50hz while that of Kansai
(West half) is 60hz, though almost all of electric appliances can be
used in both areas without any modification.

As mentioned above, Hamamatsu is at middle point between Tokyo and
Osaka, but before reaching Hamamatsu, many tourists drop in at "Hakone"
because of super view of Mr. Fuji and SPA, which is accessible from
"Odawara" of Kanagawa Prefecture and "Atami" of Shizuoka Prefecture
is another famous SPA spot, where many literary master stayed and
wrote their masterpieces in the history,

This time I stop over at some points of interest, and in the next
post, I will write about Kyoto, Nara or even Osaka and Kobe.
