China, the dragon of Asia

In China they come together to delight the visitor, natural landscapes and historical heritage.

An important route in this great territory is the Silk Road. In its time it consisted in being a route of commercial ties between the Chinese empire and the European civilizations. During the first century BC silk worship appeared in Rome, which they could not produce because they completely ignored their origin (they thought that it was given in oriental trees). The route started from Xian, former imperial capital. There you will find the Han Yangling Museum, the city wall, the impressive archeological site of the Terracotta Warriors, the Muslim Quarter and its Great Mosque, and the Wild Goose Pagoda.

The Silk Road carried huge quantities of goods and united the Far East with India, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. The Route continues in Lanzhou, where the White Pagoda of the Yuan Dynasty is visited. After Liujiaxia place by boat the Yellow River runs to the caves and Binglingsi temple, which consists of a series of natural caves where throughout a millennium have been sculpted monumental Buddhas. There are currently 183 caves, 694 statues and 82 clay sculptures that have stood the test of time. In Dunhuang are located the caves of Mogao, also known as the Caves of the Thousand Buddhas, form a system of 492 temples. In Turfan are located the Toyuk village, the ancient city of Gaochang, the Astana Tombs, the Suliman Mosque, the Bazaar and the Karez Irrigation system. By last, In Mandarin, the country is called zhongguo: central country. Considered its culture as the cusp of a universal hierarchy, for millennia the neighboring nations adopted in different degrees the language, institutions and Chinese culture. Large metropolises witness the cosmopolitan character of China in the present century: Beijing, the capital and cultural and political center of the country, and Shanghai, its most populous city. In Beijing, also known as Beijing (literally "capital of the north"), we find millenary architectural works, such as the Great Wall and contemporary, such as the Olympic Park with its Bird's Nest and Water Cube that in 2008 hosted the Olympic Games . In the Chinese capital we can see the Imperial Palace, known as the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, Center of Beijing and China's political life. There are also the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace, in their time exclusive places for the imperial family and today open to the public to know the artistic tradition of China. In addition, the Holy Path takes you to the Ming Dynasty Tombs.

Shanghai, which means "in the sea" and located in the Yangtze River Delta (the river of the legendary three gorges: Qutang, Wu (Bruges) and the wild gorge of Xiling), is China's most populous city. Open to Western trade in the 19th century after the Opium Wars, it now rivals Hong Kong as the most important financial and business center. It has as main attractions the French Concession and the Bund, a historic walk that borders the Huangpu River and preserves buildings that detail the British colonial power that was lived in the area. In contrast, the financial center of Pudong has huge skyscrapers that show the impressive economic advance of China. Yuyuan Gardens, Xintiandi, the Ancient City, and the Tianzifang area are other points of interest in the city.

It is worth mentioning the visit of the area of Tibet, enigmatic and ancestral region located in the vicinity of the Himalayas. Its great palaces and Buddhist monasteries, of which the Potala Palace (the Buddha Mountain), built in the 7th century and the Jokhang temple stand out. Also the Sera Monastery, Norbulinka Palace and Barkhor Street, the oldest in Lhasa where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts are shown to the visitor surrounded by snowy peaks and spectacular views.

I love Asian Culture ;) (post translate)
