RE: 偏头痛

Here, let me help you out:

It's about @oflyhigh dealing with migraines and what his advice would be to a suffering friend.

He basically recounts his first attempts, how he got CT, X-Ray or NMR-scans, fearing that he'd have a tumor. Luckily (sort of), this was not the case and he got the "all clear" from his doctors, prompting him to try and self-medicate.

He used what I believe is rice bran oil and vitamin supplements, tried to drown out the pain using Iboprofen and even used some heavier analgesics, which, at best, made him really drowsy.

He concludes his post saying that the best current advice he can give is to turn off all screens and devices and just relax and massage the head as needed. Mixing substances is not something he'd recommend, and I myself can only repeat that statement: always know what you're taking and have a professional evaluate risk and use.

Along those lines I'd like to shill MAPS, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies. Psilocybin and LSD show huge promise in extreme cases of cluster headaches (丛集性头痛), very spontaneous and intense headaches some people suffer from. Since psychedelics have been shunned across the globe as drugs that allegedly have no effect, hardly anyone was able to study them for far too long. It is only now that popular science is increasingly open to exploring substances like LSD, MDMA or Ketamine in order to treat a variety of debilitating diseases such as depression, PTSD or - hence my posting this here - excessive pain.
